Online Marketing Communication - How To Build Effective Visitors Through Social Networking

Friday, August 20th, 2010

Building massive followings on social networks such as Twitter, and Facebook can result in your online marketing communications reaching the masses faster than any other form of marketing. Twitter allows you to have a relatively limitless number of followers, whilst Facebook only allows five thousand per email address, but the ability to build a super targeted following on both makes them equally beneficial. More importantly it means mass marketing online has become widely available to all, regardless of budget or technical ability.

Unfortunately, the ever presence of marketing “robots” on the main networks, and by robots I mean people who constantly scream “buy, buy, buy” puts a greater emphasis on the need for you to set yourself apart and offer value through your communication. This is easily done through building meaningful relationships in order to profit in the long run. The clue here is in the title “online social networks”.

Platforms, like Facebook for example, were conceived to deliver the ability for people to connect with others anywhere in the world on a social level. Therefore, the need to focus on helping, listening, getting to know, and marketing to friends and followers through indirect and ‘out of the box’ methods is extremely important.

The term “online community” should never be overlooked through your marketing efforts. As within any community, online or off-line, you get back what you put in. So, be sure to make useful and interesting comments on peoples’ posts, network, answer questions, and in the case of twitter Re-Tweet users useful information. It is these social elements that will build your following and make your social marketing efforts a success.

Without doubt, social networks are top of the list for online marketing communication and driving traffic, but as marketers, we should not abuse the very nature of why social networks were conceived. If you’re targeted with the people you add/follow and also careful not to fall into the socialite trap, on the flip side, by wasting time aimlessly surfing profiles and posts; you’ll be sure to reap the rewards both in terms of gaining profit and building valuable personal and business relationships.

What you Need to Know About Business Cards, Yellow Page Ads, And Val-Pak Coupons

Friday, January 15th, 2010

The business person today is faced with many decisions when it comes to marketing and advertising. How to get started and what media to use in your marketing campaigns are just a couple of the challenges you are forced to meet. Reality is that all of the options available will work to one degree or another. The key to your success, no matter what medium you select, is to differentiate yourself in a manner that appeals to your potential prospect. When you understand this, you can be successful regardless of your choice.

Too often people follow the generally accepted trends and styles. This happens with the clothes we wear (anyone remember Beatle Mania?), the beer we drink (what age are you?) and the way we advertise in things like the Yellow Pages. Try scanning the Yellow Pages and you will see page after page of similar looking business card layout and wording. What happens is we start to mentally purge the look-a-likes and carry on until we see something that is different.

Some of the most interesting, and different, ads that I have seen appear as public service announcements. They have headlines like: Warning! Don’t Even Think of Using a Travel Agent Before Calling FREE Traveler Awareness Hotline! The copy below this ad would offer free advice on how to book the best rate for your next trip. I was scanning the travel section because I was obviously interested in taking a trip and this advertisement, because it was different, caught my eye. To make it really successful it also had an 800 number at the bottom to call for a Free Report. There was no ad sponsor so the whole presentation was non-threatening. I was given a safe way to get information I wanted without having to speak directly to a Travel Agent whose will endeavor to sell me.

This same method can be used regardless of the medium you select for your advertising. It can be Yellow Pages, Business Cards and Val-Pak Coupons. The key is to use the criteria that make it different, interesting and non-threatening. Even though the principles are basic there is an art to this type of marketing.

There is a company that, over the last 12 years, has developed automated systems that allow business people to incorporate any type of marketing advertising into an overall Marketing Strategy. That company is Automated Marketing Solutions or AMS. They differentiate themselves by not only providing marketing solutions, but by educating their consumers on the proper techniques to use, including how to create the right message depending on the medium being used. It doesn’t stop there. AMS provides the capability for a company to place their ENTIRE Marketing Program on Auto-pilot. Once a business marketing program (including voice messages, e-mails, faxes and other broadcast and mail out collateral) is compiled and sequenced, their Lead Management System or LMS provides the unique ability to maintain and control that program without any further human input.

The benefits to this system are significant time savings on what would otherwise be labor intensive tasks and consistency in marketing messages. It also means that businesses never need worry about losing customers who misinterpreted your lack of contact for apathy. If you would like to hear more about Direct Response Marketing and how it can benefit your business, visit Automated Marketing Solutions today. Does Article Marketing Help Get Your Website More Traffic?

Tuesday, July 21st, 2009

Most website owners want to get more traffic to their websites since they know that they’ll get more sales. Find out how to do this and get targeted traffic - people who will want to buy your services and products. Just follow what is written here and you will see good results and increased sales soon.

A lot of people have broadband / DSL connections for their computers at home or at the office. This makes the Web very accessible. People will search on the Web for something specific - that is usually why they go onto the Web… to find something. When they search for keywords that relate to your business or website, you want to show up high in the results - usually in the top 10 is where you need to be.

Get Search Engine Optimization Done

Having your website rank well is called SEO, which stands for Search Engine Optimization. There are some things that your website needs like good page titles, the right amount of keywords / key phrases in your copy, creating good meta tags, search engine friendly URLs and have it all complimented by a pleasing design that’s professional and easy to navigate. Your domain names should contain your main keyword and it should also be at least a year or two old. For the purposes of this article, were going to assume that you’ve done all of that work.

The next thing to do is rank better. This is the main thing and the main thing in doing SEO is to get incoming links. Each website that links to yours is like voting for your website. The more votes you get, the higher you rank.When you get more votes than your competition, your site moves above theirs. Links using hypertext (linked text) from sites that also rank well is optimal but a link is a link and they all help.

Get Incoming Links to Your Website

Getting inbound links to your website can be done in a few ways. The best way is when people just naturally like your company website and want to link to it. You do this by providing content that is link worthy. You can also encourage people to bookmark your site on social bookmarking sites like Delicious.com. Be sure to ask friends and any business associates or vendors to link to your company website. And you can always search around for related sites and propose link exchanges. Actually, you may be getting these requests already from other websites - this is why. These link exchanges are really worth doing, so let’s help each other out and do as many as we can. Don’t ignore those requests.

Another great way to get links is by doing article marketing. Article marketing is basically what you’re reading right now. I’ve written a useful article that’s original and unique, It’s chock full of useful information that helps people and it answers a question that they might be asking. I then submit that article to article repositories and I get to include what’s called a resource box at the end of the article that links back to my website.

The thing about article marketing is that your articles need to be original. You can’t just paste the same article on multiple websites - that doesn’t help you much at all. To do that you might think that re-writing and submitting the article over and over would take a lot of work and you would be right. It would be. Who has time for that? There is a tool that makes it much easier, the Unique Article Wizard.

The great thing about the Unique Article Wizard is that it takes your article and automatically submits it to hundreds of article websites around the Web that will post it for free. It also makes sure that articles are original. The sites that your article ends up on are sites that Google knows about, so they are good links to get pointing back to your site. Nice.

I won’t lie to you. It does take quite a bit of time to write and submit an article but compared to how much time it would have taken to do the same amount of work is incomparable. If you are not into writing, then you can still get this done for you but you will have to hire a writer to do this for you. Some good help can be found on sites like Elance.com or even use friends or college students to do the writing. One thing I remember when I write is the AIDA method:

* Attraction

* Interest

* Desire

* Action

That is what your article needs to do and do it in that order. It must grab attention. If it doesn’t, then people will never read it and get to the next step, which is get their interest and then turn it into desire. You then end it with a call to action. One way to accomplish of all this is to write a “how to” type of piece. These grab attention nicely and lots of people type the words “how to” into Yahoo when they use the Internet to search.

You will use the online wizard where you tweak different versions of each paragraph. Then the magic happens. Your unique article is automatically submitted to directories around the Internet. You can set it to submit 50 or so per day to somewhere in the neighborhood of 700 or more sites - sometimes many more, like 1500-1600 or more. Nice!

Within a week or so, you’ll start to see web visitors increase and then search engines will see more websites linking to (or voting for) your site, which moves you up in the search engine results pages. If you did just 1 article per week for a month or so, you’d see vast improvements in your rankings. Just take your time and write up good information that makes you look like an expert in your field and people will look to you for more information.

Get Targeted Traffic and Rank Better

Would you like to get more traffic to your site and have that traffic be people that are interested in your products and services? You can do it and see good results and increased sales soon.

When people go on the Internet, they’re usually searching for something. That’s what is so great about the Internet - there is so much out there and you can find the answer to just about anything by firing up your web browser and doing an online search. So what you need to do is get people to your website and to make that happen, your website needs to rank well in the results.

Get Search Engine Optimization Done

Tuning your website so that it shows up well in search rankings is called SEO (Search Engine Optimization). For the purposes of this article, we’re going to assume that you’ve done this work - either done yourself or by someone who specializes in SEO, like a website design firm, who can also give you a nice design. This work includes optimizing page titles with the right keywords, placing the right amount of keywords in your copy, creating the right meta tags, having search engine friendly URLs and so forth. Your domain name should be old enough and if it contains a keyword, that is good, too.

The next thing to do is rank better. This is the main thing and the main thing in doing SEO is to get incoming links. Each website that links to yours is like voting for your website. The more votes you get, the higher you rank.If you have more than your competition, then that moves your website up in the rankings because it shows that your site is an authority on the topic. Links using hypertext (linked text) from sites that also rank well is optimal but a link is a link and they all help.

Get Incoming Links to Your Website

There are a number of ways to get links. If people like your company website, they may link to it. Honestly, these links are about the best ” so make sure you’re asking people to link to your website. You can even give them the HTML code to use, which works really well because then you can specify a keyword (your main keyword) as the linked text. You should also ask people you do business with or friends to link to your website. You can also find other websites out there that are related to yours and email the owners, asking for a link. This is called a link exchange and they’re worth doing.

One secret to getting inbound links is with article marketing. What you’re reading right now is me doing article marketing. You take some time and write a useful article that is original and full of good information. It should answer a question that people may have and be useful to them. That’s why you need to take some time doing a little bit of research. That article is then submitted to article repositories and you get to include 2 incoming links back to your website down in the resource box at the end of the article.

The key to submitting articles is that the article needs to be totally original on each article repository that it appears on. It could take hours and hours to write and then re-write an article over and over and doing that is probably not worth your time. You would also then need take time to submit each article, which is also very labor intensive. Well, as you might have guessed, there’s a better way. It’s called the Unique Article Wizard.

The great thing about the Unique Article Wizard is that it takes your article and automatically submits it to hundreds of article websites around the Internet that will post it for free. It also makes sure that articles are unique. The sites that your article ends up on are sites that Google knows about, so they are good links to get pointing back to your site. Nice.

Automated Multi-Step Marketing, Lead Generation and Your Business

Tuesday, June 30th, 2009

When we discuss marketing we are in fact talking about relationships. We know that the favorable relationships are based on regular contact using a variety of different methods. We call our friends; send cards and flowers to our wives, and employ many other ways of demonstrating our love and affection to the people who we care about. When setting out to develop a successful Marketing Campaign we need to follow this same line of thought.

In todays world, selling is a multi-step process. It has been demonstrated that up to 95% of the people you may reach with your advertising will not yet be in a purchasing mode. This makes it essential to maintain contact with anyone who responds to your marketing efforts. The trick is to build the relationship and condition them to the fact that you can be trusted and are knowledgeable about your product or service. This way when the time to purchase arrives, your company will be the one in the forefront of their minds.

Although the solution to our marketing challenges sounds simple, when we condense it into a few brief paragraphs, the reality is quite different. The following scenario is an example of what I mean. Imagine you attract 20 new prospects every month through your marketing and you touch base with each prospect 3 times every month. (Incidentally, contacting a prospect 3 times in a month is not excessive). Over a period of 6 months, following this same pattern, you would have to manage 1,260 contacts. If you are doing it properly you are also doing this via different forms of media. Imagine the time constraints managing this type of activity would put on your day. The unfortunate reality is that you cant afford not to do this - statistics show that you will close 75% more prospects when you DO stay in touch with them over the course of a year.

I recently came across a company that has spent the last 12 years developing a systematic and fully media featured marketing program that has automated a multi-step marketing capability. This company is Automated Marketing Solutions or “AMS”. AMS provides a full suite of marketing technology tools and processes that allow any company to deliver a comprehensive marketing program using not only tested, but proven methods. The most exciting aspect of their development is that the entire process can be automated. They refer to it as putting your marketing on Auto-Pilot. Once a business marketing program (including voice messages, e-mails, faxes and other broadcast and mail out collateral) is compiled and sequenced, their Lead Management System or LMS provides the convenient ability to manage and control that program without any further human interaction. It captures leads that respond to marketing and places them into the appropriate program for follow up by the LMS itself. Very little, if any, human input is required. The benefits to this system are significant time savings on what would otherwise be labor intensive tasks. It also provides consistency in marketing messages.

An additional benefit of using their LMS is the retention capabilities of the system. As we know, once you have sourced and converted a prospect, your next most important task is to keep them as a customer. Using AMS Lead Management System means that businesses never need worry about losing customers who misinterpreted their lack of contact for lack of interest. Finally, because of AMS years of experience in building multi-media marketing programs they are able to assist and educate their users on the best methods to use as they build their own campaigns.

If you would like to hear more about Lead Management Systems and how it can benefit your business, visit Automated Marketing Solutions today. Find out how quickly and economically you can implement and start benefiting from AMS tested and proven technology and experience.
